Wineries

Mattituck is home to world-class wineries such as the iconic Macari Vineyards, where, since 1995, Joseph Macari and his family have been practicing holistic and sustainable grape growing and wine making practices. Visitors delight in tasting the bountiful terroir, paired with curated epicurean fare.

The North Fork is also home to Borghese Vineyard and Winery, Long Island’s first vineyard, and Pellegrini Vineyards, a well-loved and established winery where visitors can self-tour while observing the wine making process first hand.

 
 
 

Organic Farms

Minutes from The Oasis is the nationally recognized Harbes Farm and Orchard, a sprawling 78-acre, breathtakingly beautiful apple orchard—ideal for family-friendly picking. This farm features 27 different apple varieties and uses an innovative trellis system to grow apples that are within reach of even the smallest of hands. Children love the seasonal activities like pumpkin picking, corn stalk maze meandering and pony riding.

The surrounding farms and local shops like Lombardi’s Love Lane Market offer bountiful produce options year round, promoting farm-to-table dining from the comfort of your brand new home.

Become a member of North Fork Country Club to play on Donald Ross-designed greens, with four holes fully embracing the waterfront and offering exquisite views of Peconic Bay. Or, join the Long Island National Golf Club, a links style golf course, buffered by sea breezes fresh off the North Fork with bentgrass fairways and greens. 

Outstanding public courses include Cherry Creek Golf Links, an 18-hole course with long, generous fairways, and Indian Island Country Club, which caters to all levels of players and features stunning views of the Peconic River and environs.

Mattituck Parks & Beaches

Because of its geography, Mattituck lends itself to numerous scenic and beautiful parks and beaches. Residents are invited to explore the terrain and relish in the protected nature and beauty of Long Island’s North Fork.

 
 

Parks

Perfect for ice skating in the winter and leisurely picnics in the summer, Wolf Pit Lake is a small, serene pond and park area off of Wickam Avenue that attracts in-the-know visitors and residents alike.

Mattituck Creek Waterway Access Site is located along the North Road (Route 48) at the head of Mattituck Creek. The scenic area offers a fishing pier and a separate dock designated for kayaks and canoes. The facility also features picnic tables, privies, trails, interpretive materials, wildlife viewing, and loading docks.

Veterans Memorial Park is a lively Peconic Bayfront park at the terminus of Bay Avenue in Mattituck. It offers visitors pavilion buildings, a picnic area, a children’s play area, bocce, and shuffleboard courts and retains a lifeguard during the summer months.

Don’t miss the famous outdoor family water park Splish Splash and the nearby Long Island Aquarium which is home to a 20,000-gallon coral reef tank!

Aldrich Lane Park caters to the young and young-at-heart. This property adjoins the Laurel School and offers a softball and soccer field, both of which are accessible during the day and illuminated at night.

Bay Avenue Park Is the site of an existing Little League field, two tennis courts, and a small wetlands area along James Creek.

 
 
 

Beach Parks

The Breakwater Beach Park is located on the west side of the Mattituck Inlet jetty. The Breakwater Beach is frequented by fishermen, families, and beach volleyball lovers during the summer. Don’t miss the dramatic sunsets!

Bailie's Beach Park is located on the east side of the Mattituck Inlet. Known for its sandy beach, dunes and tidal wetlands, it also features great sunset views over the inlet.

Mattituck Park District Beach "Yacht Club Property" is located along Peconic Bay Boulevard. The site is developed for a softball field with night-lighting, a parking area, and beach.
